(B9) Brown Leather Messenger Bag Handmade USPS Mail Bag Inspired With Lever Latch. ON SALE
As with my other bags this is the last one and is ON SALE at a much reduced price as I am making way to focus on my belts, and consequently the basis of sale is 'No Return'. I will donate £15 for each bag sold to MDS UK, a charity that supports people with bone marrow failure.
This is what my last customer who bought one of these said: "Harry, I got two comments from strangers on my (your) bag today alone. People notice it everywhere. I tell them all where I got it. Thought you might like to know you've created quite an eye-catching bag. Best, xxxx"
This is a beautiful soft brown leather messenger bag, inspired by the early USPS traditional mail bags. It has 18 hand hammered traditional copper saddlers rivets and the main seams are double sewn. It has an over the shoulder bridle leather strap with a shoulder pad to ensure it is comfortable when carrying heavy loads, it also has a quick grab handle. This bag has a solid brass one handed lever latch. Inside there is a heavy duty canvas divider zipped pocket for valuables, and phone and pen slots. There is also a key holder on a short lead for keys etc or to secure the bag around a table or chair in a restaurant etc.
Here is a film of me making a similar but not identical slightly smaller bag:
This bag is unlined, and the interior divider is made of heavy duty cotton canvas.
The saddlers solid copper hand hammered rivets are incredibly strong...and are not to be confused with the cheaper brass rivets that are used on some bags. The handles have hand rounded and polished edges for comfort....a small detail that you will not find very often, but one that makes a big difference to comfort and appearance.
Measurements: This bag is approximately 15.5 inches wide x 10.5 inches high x 4 inches deep. The strap is fully adjustable with Conway buckles, as with the original mail bags.
Please do check the sizing against an existing bag to make sure this is right for you. Please also bear in mind that monitors can show colours differently and if it helps you can also see some of this bag being made on film.
I have made this bag myself in my workshop in Sevenoaks, Kent. This is the actual bag you will receive, and it is ready to ship.
I will send this bag out securely packaged, and use a tracked and insured delivery service.
